Homebrewer Dr. Douglas Boreham PhD. studies ale yeast with the NASA Deep Space Mission and at Sudbury's SNOLAB, 2 km underground. His research group is funded by the Canadian Space Agency to study the effects of galactic cosmic radiation (or lack thereof) on saccharomyces cerevisiae.
