Nitrogen generators (designed to pull nitrogen from the surrounding air) are typically used in place of high-pressure nitrogen cylinders. These cylinders are delivered by large trucks, can run out at any time (typically at the worst possible time), and must be delivered and paid for on a recurring basis. Outside of being more convenient and less costly to operate than cylinders, EZ-2 generators are also more environmentally friendly. Less gas deliveries mean less fuel being burned to make those deliveries.
