Conical Fermenters
Conical fermenters have a cone-shaped bottom with a valve at the point of the cone, instead of the flat bottom of a bucket or carboy. Solids collect in the cone and the valve makes for simple, sanitary removal of trub and yeast for disposal or re-pitching. This allows the brewer to conduct primary and secondary fermentation in one vessel.
