Special B Malt - Dingemans (1 lb)


Special B produces a dark brown-black color and fuller body. Provides much color and raisin-like flavors; imparts a rich caramel taste and a hint of nut and plum flavor. May substitute for chocolate when bitterness is not desired. Use in Abbey ales, Trappist ales, Dubbels, Porters, Brown ales, Dopplebocks.

Typical Beer Style(s): Belgian Ales, bocks, porter, dubbles, brown ales and dopplebocks.

Recommended Maximum Usage: Up to 10%

Possible Substitution(s): Crystal 150, Double Roasted Crystal, Chocolate, Black malt.
