Toronto Brewing Earth Fund

Inspired by Jeff Bezos' announcement today, I'm buzzed with excitement to announce the launching the Toronto Brewing Earth Fund. 

We are facing one of the greatest challenges in human history.  The impact from climate change is being felt around the world and we need to work together to prevent the devastation of our planet.  This beer-centric initiative will help fund brewers, homebrew clubs, activists and local companies to focus and explore sustainability in brewing practices, our brewing ingredients, packaging, distribution, fermentation - anything with the potential to drive impactful change in our industry and hobby.

It's not $10B, but Toronto Brewing is committing $10,000 dollars to start and will be issuing grants starting this Spring.  Please contact me at zack@torontobrewing.ca if you would like to be involved.

I want to work alongside others both to amplify known ways and to explore new ways of fighting the devastating impact of climate change on this planet we all share. This global initiative will fund scientists, activists, NGOs — any effort that offers a real possibility to help preserve and protect the natural world. We can save Earth. It’s going to take collective action from big companies, small companies, nation states, global organizations, and individuals. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ I’m committing $10 billion to start and will begin issuing grants this summer.
