Citra Pellet Hops

Citra is a special aroma hop variety developed by the Hop Breeding Company (a joint venture between John I. Haas, Inc. and Select Botanicals Group, LLC) in 2007. Citra has fairly high alpha acids and total oil contents with a low percentage of cohumulone content. The variety imparts interesting citrus and tropical fruit characters to beer. It is typically used in modern American style pale ales, IPAs, and barleywines.

Pedigree: Comprised of Hallertau Mittelfruh, US Tettnang, Brewer's Gold and East Kent Golding

Storage Stability: 75% alpha remaining after 6 months

Typical Beer Style(s): American Pale Ale, NEIPA, IPA, Sours, Dry Hopping

Typical Alpha Acid Levels: 11%
