An efficient, sanitary and inexpensive way to aerate wort in the primary fermenter. The aquarium pump forces room air through the sanitary, in-line HEPA filter which removes dirt and contaminants. Then the air is delivered to the wort through a stainless steel diffusion stone, which promotes rapid absorption into the wort. For best results, aerate your cooled wort for 20-30 minutes.

The advantage of an aeration system is that you never have to buy replacement oxygen tanks. There is no concern of contamination during this period, however you do have to monitor the fermenter periodically for possible over foaming. While you are brewing, this system can also be used to pre-fill fermenters with sanitary air.

Wort Aeration Filter
This filter is designed to fit a wort aeration system with a pump. Filters down to .023 micron with 99.99% efficiency. Use with 3/8" ID tubing (1/4" ID will also work). Can be used as a microbiological air filter for aeration systems, or keg hand pumps. This filter can also make sterile water for yeast starters, rehydrating dry yeast, or topping up.
